"Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." — Psalm 55:22 (ESV)

David wrote this while betrayed by a close friend — this isn't a verse for easy days. "Cast" is a throwing word: don't set your burden down politely at God's feet and pick it back up by lunch. Throw it. And notice the promise attached: not that the burden vanishes, but that He will sustain you — and that you will not be moved. The ground under a believer isn't their own strength. It's a God who has never once dropped anyone who trusted Him.
